Our studio and training center is located at 553 Sycamore Valley Rd W, Danville, CA 94526 — in the San Francisco Bay Area, conveniently accessible from throughout the East Bay, Tri-Valley, and greater Bay Area region. Online programs are available to students worldwide.
Do you offer in-person SMP training near San Francisco?
Yes. Our Danville studio is approximately 45 minutes from San Francisco and easily accessible from Oakland, San Jose, and the broader Bay Area. In-person SMP training includes supervised live client experience at our luxury studio.
Do you offer PMU training in the Bay Area?
Yes — Academy of Pigments offers comprehensive PMU certification programs including scalp micropigmentation, permanent eyeliner, lip blush, brow techniques, scar and stretch mark camouflage, and fine line tattooing. Our Danville training center serves students from across the Bay Area and California.
Can I take your courses if I live outside California?
Absolutely. Our online programs — including SMP certification, brow mastery, lip blush, permanent eyeliner, and fine line tattooing — are fully accessible from anywhere in the United States and internationally. Many out-of-state students also travel to our Danville studio for in-person training and apprenticeship tiers.
Do you offer SMP training for international students?
Yes. We actively support international students and have certified artists from dozens of countries worldwide. Our online curriculum is available in English and Spanish, and our team is happy to discuss how your certification applies in your home country and market.
Do you offer bilingual training in Spanish?
Yes — we offer bilingual support in English and Spanish, making Academy of Pigments one of the very few PMU and SMP training programs in California to serve the Spanish-speaking beauty professional community at a high level.
Does Rodger Ponce travel for training?
Yes. Rodger travels nationally and internationally to bring scar and stretch mark camouflage certification directly to artists and studios who want to host a training in their own location. Contact us to discuss availability, dates, and hosting requirements.
